What Causes A Dull, Constant Ringing And Pressure In The Left Ear?

I have had a dull constant ringing in my left ear since early this morning. I did not have the ringing last night nor have ever had ringing this long. It also feels like there is pressure in that ear as well. The ringing and pressure have not gotten worse, but neither has it improved. Thoughts?

Hi

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query about pressure and ringing in your left ear since today morning I would like to say that it is most likely due to eustachian tube dysfunction.

As you feel pressure in your left ear, it is because once the eustachian tube gets blocked, the air entery to middle ear suffers and ultimately negative pressure develops in middle ear. This is felt by patient as blocked or pressure in ear and some unwanted ringing sound start appearing.

Now you may take-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Decongestant & mucolytic.

I hope above will solve your problem.

Regards.
