What Causes A Feel Of Thumping Like Heartbeat On Laying Towards Right?
When i am laying on my right side only, a thumping occurs in patterns of two, like a heartbeat. There is no pain in my ear. I am currently taking suboxone...8 mgs two to three times a day and the thumping started shortly after i started this medication. Am i in any danger? What else could it be?
Hi welcome to HCM. Opioid medications are known to cause serious cardiovascular disturbances. These are particularly evident in the form of arrhythmias or conduction disturbances.Reduction of the dose of suboxone can lead to resolution of the symptoms to a large extent.Baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo can help to rule out organic heart lesions.Drugs like metoprolol can help to control the palpitations.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you.
