What Causes A Feeling Of Fullness In The Throat While Having An Abnormal Growth At The Right Tonsil Showing A Red Web Appearance?
I woke up this morning to a feeling of fullness in my throat. I have always had enlarged tonsils since childhood however this morning can feel them in a way I usually can t. My right tonsil is displaying an abnormal growth in front which is red and has a white webbing appearance. So far there is no pain, only discomfort from the feeling my throat is full.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get throat swab, sputum test, CBC, tests to rule out swelling of lymph nodes, tonsilloliths, etc. Your treatment will depend on the pathology diagnosed.
You will be treated with antibiotics, analgesics and will be recommended surgery if required. You are suggested to take adequate amount of water and fluids. Gargle your throat with salt water 2-3 times daily. Avoid irritants like cigarette smoking and alcohol. Use a humidifier in the room so that you are comfortable.
