I have seen three ENT s , I have had for about three yrs now a sensation in my throat only on the right side near tonsils ( feels like a lump on the inside, like it s swollen, nothing shows on MRI with contrast. I am making extremely small tonsil stones, but have chronically swollen lymphoid tissue. I am aware of this swollen lump sensation 24/7 and cannot take it anymore. I have also areas of white instead of all pink in my posterior pharynx, shouldn t it all be pink? Tried 2 PPI s for herd -- nothing happened. Been sleeping propped up-- no improvement. The suggestion now is tonsillectomy, unilateral because it s only the right that bugs me. Even that is no guarantee. The white areas of tissue in the posterior pharynx bother me, I don t think any white should be there at all, everything should be pink right?
