What Causes A Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?
I just got this flesh colored skin tag looking thing in the back of my mouth right in front of one of my tonsils. It doesn't hurt but sometimes makes it feel like something is stuck in my throat. I do have a tooth that needs extracted (right side of mouth as well) and i'm pretty sure it's infected so i don't know if this flap of skin could be related to that or not. I just recently had a cold as well but my throat didn't hurt at all.
As per your complain present of a skin tag infront of tonsil can be due to a number of causes like a lymphoid tissue aggregate, a mucous retention cyst or mucocele, fibrous tissue overgrowth or irritational fibroma..
Consult an ENT expert and get evaluated so that it can be diagnosed appropriately and then only appropriate treatment can be done..
In case if it is due to mucous cyst then salt water rinses can help in its regression while larger cysts needs surgical removal.. In case of fibroma also surgical removal is needed.. For lymphoid tissue aggregates also if there are bothersome getting them removed will be helpful in permanent resolution..
Hope this information helps..
