What Causes A Hard And Tender Bump On The Leg?

Hello, I have a small, hard, tender bump with no strange coloring to it on my right shin I have had it about 2 weeks now, and the swelling went down only when i put an ice pack on it. Any suggestions as to what this is or could be would be very helpful.
