What Causes A Huge Lump Of Discharge During Periods?

Hello, i came on my period yesterday and last night i was experiencing awful period pains, they were getting worse and worse until i knew something was wrong and i ran to the toilet. I was sitting on the toilet and a massive blob fell out my vagina, it was about the size of the palm of my hand and grey and lumpy, then i felt the same thing happen again and then the period pains went away. what the hell was it?

Thank you for the question.

You obviously passed something from inside the uterus. When the uterus is trying to expel something, it contracts and causes the cramping pain that you are describing. This could have been a miscarriage if you are sexually active. If you could not have been pregnant, then it might have represented sloughing of the uterine lining that might have built up abnormally and then shed all at once. It is really hard to know for sure, but I would recommend that you see a doctor and ask them to consider a pregnancy test and an ultrasound of your uterus.

I hope that this helps and good luck.
