Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Knot At The Bruised Area After A Leg Injury?
I hit my leg really hard about three weeks ago, it bruised up pretty bad, then a knot the size of a golf ball came up a week later, my bruise is kind of going away but the knot is still there...it doesnt really hurt that bad only when i walk a long distance then my leg starts to hurt. what could it be?
As the knot is a fascia inflammation and will take some time to go. This will be helped by normal biomechanics of the muscles and the correction of the muscle imbalances by the body itself. We just need to assist the healing process with the help of hot water fermentation and gentle kneading massage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
