What Causes A Low Urine Output?

Hi Doctor, My 7 month old baby daughter is not passing urine frequently from past 4-5 days. Till last week she was passing urine frequently, her diapers were heavy and while on cotton napkin she used to wet napkins at regular intervals usually immediately after feeding. There was no change in her diet. She has cold and cough 2-3 days back. But now she is fine. Should I get her urine test done?

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

When baby has fever especially during respiratory tract infection, there is dehydration. this causes reduced urine output.
Ensuring good intake of fluids, continuing breast feeding will suffice and get back the normal urine output.
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
