What Causes A Lump Around The Area Of Navel Piercing?
I got my navel piercing about 4 months ago and it has formed a purple lump beside the piercing on the top of my belly button. It does not hurt when I move it and it will occassionally scab up. The lump does not look like there s anything in it and the bottom of the piercing looks fine. What do I do to get rid of the lump?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a purple lump beside naval piercing seems to be due to piercing of any small blood vessel leading to spillage of blood into the soft tissues and formation of a small bruised lump.. It is painless and non fatal in nature.. You need not to worry about it and do alternate warm and cool compresses over it.. You can apply a Heparin containing gel over it for faster disintegration of the clot and regression of lump.. In case if it dos not show signs of improvement in two weeks consult a general physician and get evaluated.. Hope this information helps..
