What Causes A Lump At The Back Of The Ear Near The Piercing?
My daughters ears were pierced about 8 weeks ago. She hasn t had any problems with them until recently. Last Saturday she had a large bump next to the backing of earring. I cleaned with peroxide and applied a&d ointment twice a day for 3 days and it looked like it was getting better. Tonight at bath time I just notice it is now filled with pus and the same thing is happening on the other ear in the same spot. Is she now having a reaction to the earrings? Is it a kieloid? I don t know what to do. It is also painful for her. This evening I cleaned with original cleanser from when we first had them pierced and applied neosporin. What should I do? Thank you!!
hello dear mother firstly you have to remove earrings , because from all that you describe it seems an infection of tissue, clean it with antiseptic solution like iodine solution and apply an antibiotic ointment twice a day, contact your doctor to evaluate the situation and if it is necessary to get oral antibiotics. thank you use healthcaremagic and feel free to ask me again
