What Causes A Lump Behind The Ear In A Child?
I have daughter who is 16 mths old. She has a small lump behind one of her ears. it is hard and has been there for a little while. He Pediatrician is on vaca unitl Monday. Is ti something I can wait on or should I call the dr. taking her patients while she is out?

It can be a swollen lymph node. You can wait for couple of weeks for spontaneous recovery, A short course of antibiotics can also be attempted. If swelling persists you can go for a fine needle biopsy for confirmation.
