What Causes A Lump On The Calf And Painful Walking After An Injury?

My husband slid in the outfield to catch a softball. Calf was a little sore after the game. Drove 20 minutes home and now there is a huge lump on inside of calf. Hurts him to walk now. He also has factor II gene mutation only on one gene. Is this an injury or do we need to worry about a clot?

Hello,

Factors 2 mutation patients may develop clots to injury. Please keep an eye. But it is only a hematoma or bruising then it may recover fast.

Take rest, use cold and warm compression. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
