What Causes A Missed Period Despite Taking Duphaston?

Hello doc., m suffering with pcod, after USG injection, Ovalution occured, and after that my doc. Prescribe me duphoston twice daily, pass 3 days i missed my periods, but i not yet i checked with home pregerancy kit, could be i pregerant? Or i missed periods bcoz of this duphoston medicine.

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

If you have documented ovulation, then you should get your periods 14 days after your ovulation day, if you are not pregnant.

If have crossed your expected date of menses, please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

Tablet Duphastone is progesterone hormone and it helps to support the early pregnancy. For this reason your doctor must have prescribed it to you.
