What Causes A Non-painful, Non-red Lump On My Penis Near The Corona That Has Been Present For 2 Weeks?

Hello. I have a lump on my penis near the corona that developed about 2 weeks ago. It is not painful & has little to no rednesson or around the area. It was very itchy for a few days but not anymore. It has not grown nor has it shrunk in size. I am very sexually active but have not been with any new parts in the last several months. I have done research online & from what I have seen & read, it lacks visual appearance & symptoms of herpes. Please assist me

Hello,

Since it is not painful, it is unlikely to be herpes. However, it can be genital warts. Other medical conditions presenting with similar symptoms are cysts, PPP or Fordyce spots. Fordyce spots & PPP are harmless conditions, you need not worry. It can be removed by laser therapy for cosmetic purpose. You can apply ointment hydrocortisone on the affected area to get rid of itching. Do not touch it & do not scratch.

Take care of your hygiene. Clean the smegma from under the foreskin. Wear loose fitting soft cotton clothes. You are advised to get clinically examined by a urologist. you will be told to get STD tests done if the treating doctor suspects genital warts. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
