Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small lump on my left leg which an ultrasound indicates is a hypoechoic lump. It can be very painful at times, sometimes when I get out of bed and also if I am just standing/sitting. If I touch it it can be extremely painful but the area immediately around is not.should I have it removed?
Any lump in the body must be investigated. this lump/swelling/space occupying lesion must be removed surgically and examined histologically. Further treatment will depend on the histology report.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirmal Chander Gupta, Orthopaedic Surgeon
