What Causes A Persistent Fever In A Child?

My child is 5 years old and having fever for 3 weeks now. When in first took him to a doctor he said the child is having virul flue and gave medicine. Since the fever didnt go down i took the bay to another doctor and he said baby is having bronchitis. That was last week still child had fever. So i took him again to another doctor and he took a blood test and said child is diagnosed with typhoid. After giving medicine for 5 days child is still having fever around 98. What should i do?

thank you for your question. well 98 fn is temperature from which area of body? if oral then its not fever. if axilla then its 99 to be considered and mild fever. if tests have really proven to be typhoid then it might take 7 -10 days for fever to come down...if still not may need add on drug for typhoid.
also if typhoid tests are not confirmatory then we need blood tests like esr and may be other tests to rule out causes like autoimmune etc.
right now wait gor another 9 days that completes 14 day course for typhoid...and then next step according to response.
