Hi

A pop sound may be heard with certain muscles or tendons rubbing against each other. This can then cause a spasm which can lead to a headache.

In most cases, the headache is not serious. Here are a few things you can try.
Drinking lots of water
Taking warm showers
Steam inhalation
Sitting in a dark room
Getting lots of sleep
Taking an over the counter painkiller that can help

If the headache persists, please see a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
