What Causes A Pressure On The Chest?

I am 51,male, and on 40mg Benecar. My BP is 148/76 and I feel somewhat off-perhaps a little pressure in my chest. I had anechocardiogram 2 months ago, and was told my heart is good and I have a low risk for cardiovascular disease. I also took 12.5 grams of metoprolol tartrate early this morning. (I was on it for a week, but have been off for two weeks until this morning. What may be going on?

Hi
I read your query and understand your concern
Pain in chest can have a lot of causes, most of them are not risky so you don't have to worry too much
It may be muscular or any anxiety disorder
The only risky cause is cardiovascular which seems you have excluded lately
Depending on its characteristics doctor can judge about the cause
If you have pain during physical stress you need to be checked by a doctor
If pain bothers you during rest it is probably muscular or from anxiety
Any case avoid caffeine and energy drinks and use healthy diet, full stop of vegetables
Wishing you good health don't hesitate to contact for further questions
Best regards
