What Causes A Prolonged Delay In Periods Despite Using Precautions After Intercourse?
Is there a possibility that I am pregnant? I am 20 and my perios is late. We never do it without using condom and we re together for 3 yrs now. My cycle is not regular, sometimes it came early like last month it came on 25th day and now it is late. My last period is April 7 to 12 and until now i didnt get my period but we always use condom. Pls help me. I am not ready for pregnancy yet.
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. Since you do not have regular menstrual cycles, it is difficult to predict your ovulation period. Also, the condom has a higher failure rate when compared to the hormone contraception. In the current scenario, please go for the pregnancy test, either the HPT or the blood test to confirm/exclude pregnancy. If negative, you can get medication to induce a period after consulting a specialist. A trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram is helpful to plan further management. Hope this helps.
