Noticed a small spot located on my right breast, left side of my areola. At first thought it was a normal spot like you would usually get on your face. Looked like it needed popping so attempted to pop it. Wasn t a normal spot. It s now a small raised almost swollen bump, prefectly circular, slightly a faded pinkyish red around the rim and has a small dark dot in the middle. It s not itchy, but slightly stingy to the touch.
based on your description (raised swollen lump, with a small dark dot in the middle which is the punctum), it could be a cystic formation (sebaceous or keratinous type). other breast lesions (such as abscess formation, fibromas, fibrocystic changes) must also be ruled-out. it is best if you see a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics such as breast ultrasound and mammography, may be recommended as needed. management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
