What Causes A Red Spot In A Healed Scar?

i have a scar from a sore that healed awhile ago, today i noticed a red spot in the middle that looks like blood trapped under the surface. it has not been there for more than a few days, it is quite obvious and i would have noticed it fairly quickly. should i worry, or is there a worry free reason behind this?
