Some portion of my palate has become ridgy and a little sensitive too. This condition prevails since last one year. There is no loss of taste or appetite. I am a tobacco chewer since last 25 years. I left tobacco 3- 4 times in between ( during last one year) to see if could help my sensitivity in palate, but of no avail. Since last 15 days I have stopped chewing tobacco completely however there is not much change in the sensitivity of my palate. I have used ointment like Kenacort, but it hasn't helped me much. I can clearly recall that this problem (sensitive palate) began once I had stopped intake of salt completely for 4 days on advice of some yoga teacher. I am confused .Kindly help.

What Causes A Sensitive And Ridgy Palate?
Thanks for using health care magic. You have to compulsory stop taking tobacco . I would advise you to first visit a oral surgeon and get it checked compulsory and then he would advice you the most appropriate treatment. For the lesion u can apply mucogel on it, though before applying kenacort , you have to check it first and apply only if the dentist advises you. Use a mouth wash and get your teeth cleaned. Hope this was useful. Thanks and regards.
