What Causes A Sharp Pain On The Right Side Just Below The Rib Cage?
Good Morning: I'm a 70 year old male experiencing frequent sharp pain on my right side just below my rib cage. The pain almost feels like a broken rib and seems to be associated with movement. At times it takes by breath away. As I twist my upper torso The pain can be induced or lessened. I would be interested in your opinion. My doctor suggests by phone that it may be my gallbladder and opined that it may disappear. She is in potion of my recent blood work and indicates it is normal. Thank you, Lee
It can be related to your gallbladder or to the thoracic cavity. I will opine you to get sonography of your abdomen and if it remains inconclusive then go for Xray chest.
