What Causes A Sharp Pain On The Right Side Of The Head?
hello I have lately been having they sharp pains on the right side of head that last all day. They are very sudden and only last for a few seconds and then go away but then come back maybe like 20mins later at the most. Do have an idea of what they are and should I go see a doctor about it?
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to occipital neuralgia or ice peak headache.
I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a cervical spineX ray study for possible chronic degenerations of the cervical column - a bran MRI may be necessary to exclude other possible intracranial causes.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
