What Causes A Sharp Popping Pain On The Left Side Of The Head?

Last night I was awaken with a sharp popping feeling with sharp pain on the left side of my head. When I got up this morning I had a headache and some numbness on the left side of my face. Headache is now gone ut still a little numbness still there. What could this be?

Cold
Fever
Sunlight
and even Exercise
