I have had a few recent bouts with a sour stomach followed by watery diarrhea. At the same time I notice a smelly discharge from my belly button. Any ideas? Used to happen maybe once a year for the past five years but twice in the last three weeks.

Hello,
Umbilicus is more prone for repeated infections so lead to discharge. Umbilicus cyst or umbilical fistula is more prone to infection.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
