What Causes A Smelly Nose?

Good day Doc,The right side of my nose started to smell when i rub it a couple of months back, then when i rub the left side it started to smell to eventually. It has a funky smell. It does not always smell too bad. There is no bumps or scabs. I have an oily face though. I am not sure either if its because of the white heads as no visible marks or anything is there. What could be the cause of this? I wash my face a lot. And i scrub it sometimes.Thanks for answering.

You may be suffering from chronic rhinitis or also possible that you may be suffering from atrophic rhinitis. Nasal polyps or poor oral hygiene may present like this. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use normal saline nasal spray thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
