What Causes A Solid Thing Under The Ribs?

for the past few months ive had a large rock solid ball like thing under the right side of my ribs that slides out when i breathe. Now if i lay a certain way it moves all the way to my left side. I have seen a doctor about it and he says its probably my intestine, but for some reason i dont believe him. Should i visit another doctor for a second opinion

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to hiatus hernia.
The hiatus is an opening in the diaphragm that is a muscular wall separating the chest cavity from the abdomen.
The treatment consists in surgery so I suggest you to consult a surgeon.

Hope my answer was helpful!

Kind Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
