What Causes A Sore Lump In The Throat Burning While Swallowing And Drinking?
i have a red, lil smaller than a dime place on left side of my throat that burns when i swallow or drink anything. Its risen up just a lil and i feel weak like im coming down with something! I had this same place hurt about a month ago and i started feeling better so assumed it went away! Its either come back or never went away
As per your query you have throat burning while swallowing and drinking . Well there can be many reasons for this condition like silent reflux or Laryngopharyngeal reflux , GERD or sore throat . In silent reflux condition the acidic content of stomach come upwards upto the pharynx and irritate the mucosa , which cause pain while eating or drinking . I would suggest you to eat light and non spicy food , specially at night , eat at least one hour before going to bed , take light walk after every meal and take antacid like gelusil .If condition still persist then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like throat swab test , viral culture test and X-ray to rule out condition like tonsillitis , dicerticula and pharyngitis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) along with anti inflammatory .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
