ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
If there is pain while swallowing then there is thraot infection could be viral or bacterial but you need to take ent consultation and take antibiotics.
Swollen ring could be enlarged tonsil at the back on the sides of the tongue and base of tongue.
Take gargles which would give relief like lukewarm saline gargles, And also antiseptic betadine gargles which could prevent from infection and maintain cleanliness in the throat.
In doubt do reply.
