Hello,
Your symptoms are indicative of
callus formed due to the friction caused by ill fitting shoes, it could be
eczema. You are suggested to take care of your foot regularly, keep it clean. You should soak your feet and ankle in warm soapy water for some time. Let the skin get soft so that the hardened, rough skin can slowly get removed by itself. Keep the skin moisturized.
Wear proper shoes and avoid continued friction, pressure and physical or chemical irritation. You can apply
ointments and gels containing
hydrocortisone locally to get relieve from dryness and itching. Application of topical cortico-
steroids twice daily are effective. To prevent formation of eczema or callous you are suggested to avoid prolonged, unprotected sun exposure, take balanced diet, avoid food that does not suit you or triggers skin problems.
If diabetic, control blood sugar at all cost, avoid contact with allergens and irritants. You can take antihistamines at bed time to avoid scratching. If infected you may need a course of antibiotics.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
