What Causes A Swollen Ear Lobe?
My 3 year old son has a swollen ear lobe. He gets them all the time and them it goes away. Sometimes he has the two ears at the same time swollen and other times it is just one. The ears get really red, swollen and hot. Why is this happening? At the begiining I though it was an insect bite...but now....I don't think so anymore.

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, it can be infection of the external ear or allergic reaction.
cause being constant medling with ears, hot humid climate, nail injury, ear bud injury.
Treatment is penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 days if it's infection.
If it's an self subsiding allergic reaction of the ear then, it us treated with antihistamines syrup 5 ml twice a day gor 3 days.
