What Causes A Swollen Gland Behind The Ear?

Hello I m a 27yo who is 11 weeks pregnant and I just felt a swollen gland behind my right ear. I don t know what it could be and I m a bit concerned. I was diagnosed with hsv2 in April 2014 and it s now September 2014. I ve never had any outbreaks and didn t even know I had it. Could this be related to my gland being swollen. Very concerned for the health of my child

Hi. Lymph Nodes behind the ear often swell up due to scalp infections that may be bacterial or fungal. Try examining your scalp for any source of infection and probably use a good shampoo to keep the scalp healthy. Visit your physician to rule out any other causes of infection and treat accordingly. This may not affect the health of your child.
