What Causes A Swollen Muscle In Buttock That Hurts?
I have a what feels like a swollen muscle in my left buttock that hurts to sit or stand. I had a hemrroidectomy 6 years ago (both internal and external) and since the surgery struggle to go to the bathroom with pushing and straining. Even with loose stools.

These problems are not common after hemorrhoidectomy. In my opinion, you could be suffering from some other problem in gluteal muscles. Please consult orthopaedic surgeon for examination, investigation and treatment.
