What Causes A White Film Like Substance To Cover The Corneas Of The Eyes?

i HAVE SOME TYPE OF WHITE COVERING ON TOP OF BOTH OF MY EYES..OOPS SORRY CAPS. I just noticed it. its like the white part of my eyes are covering my brown eyes just at the top though. I don t have any pain and my eyes are not red or no discharge. I am supposed to wear glasses for distance but I don t. Never had any eye problems .
