hello... PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME...Im stressing really badly and i am one to have panic attacks so hopefully i can find out the answer before it gets to that!
i have a white lump, about 1cm long under my tongue and its just off centre and its getting bigger and now it looks like there is one starting on the opposite side(under my tongue) it is really painful!
i didnt sleep last night, i stayed up and smoked quite alot!?
Im starting to shake.... :( (i have a fear of my tongue swelling and thats been the cause of previous panic attacks.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain a white lump under the tongue seems to be a mucous cyst known as Mucocele and it is formed due to either clogged duct of minor salivary gland or due to ruptured duct of the gland leading to spillage of mucous into soft tissues and forming a bump.. You should not worry as it is not a harmful condition and is many a times self-limiting and resolves n its own.. You should do concentrated salt water rinses.. If it does not resolve surgical removal has to be done..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
