Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am a 41 year old female. On Friday last week I had stomach cramps, nausea and a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. I also had a migraine for 2 days preceding the cramps and temperature. My doctor gave me buscopan for the cramps and I was taking ibuprofen for the migraine and temperature. Migraine and temperature are now gone, but I still get cramps starting each day after breakfast and my abdomen seems quite distended. It does not seem to matter what I eat, I still get cramps and/or nausea after food. My stool is yellow (no diarrhea). Can you help figure out what the problem is?
The given symptoms could be due to viral infection but is very less likely because more or less it seems to be nonspecific symptoms some time may be due to Migraine attack, it is all the functional elements playing the role, age and gender could be the aggravating factors (Menopause or pre menopause).
There could be digestive elements like dyspepsia and for that, you need to care in diet and low down the stress.
If I would be doctor of this case, then I would try to treat this case with, tablet Clinidium with Chlordiazepoxide three times a day, but more important is to control your thoughts, else it is nothing to worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
