What Causes Abdominal Cramps, Diarrhea And Headache While In Zoo?
My daughter is 40 yrs old, took her children to an animal park where you drive around in your car. Developed sudden abdominal cramps, became clammy, has blisters on the palms of her hands, diarrhea, headache. Do you feel this could be an allergic reaction , a bug bite that she is not aware of, dehydration, heat exhaustion? She just wants to take Benedryl and see if it helps.
According to history it is a stomatitis like inflammatory condition.... Mostly according to history it seems to be viral stomach flu or allergic infection. Yes she can take benadryl like antihistaminic drug for allergy....
Meanwhile hydration should be maintained with lots of fluid and ORS .... Fruit juice more.. Excess tea , coffe , smoking and alcohol restricted.... Probiotic tablet can be taken. Yoghurt natural probiotic that can taken. Cooked oatmeal help in soothing stomach....
If fever also present with mucus or blood in stool then antibiotic given.
If no benefit stool examination done.
Take care. Consult physician for physical examination.
