What Causes Abdominal Cramps While On Misoprostol?
Hello doctor. I m 21 years old, studying. I had a medical termination of pregnancy because I m not ready to have a baby yet. I took misoprostol pills as prescribed by my gynecologist 8 hours ago and I bled clots one hour after the ingestion. Specifically 2 clots the size of a lemon. I was lying down other bed because of the Cramps but everything I stood up or walked i bled. And twice I went to the washroom and found blood flowing out of my vagina like water from an open tap, for a few seconds. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal. The majority of the bleeding occurs in the first 24-48 hours. after which it should become less. Even after this time, remaining tissue can be passed out as clots but the overall quantity should gradually reduce.
Standing up can facilitate evacuation due to gravity and movement.
If your bleeding continues beyond 2 days in large quantity or you develop sever cramping/pain, see your doctor right away to prevent life threatening complication or to check for any retained products of conception.
Please take iron supplments and a multivitamin for 3 months to replnish iron store.
Further more, if you are not ready for a baby, please use contraception to avoid stressing your body like this.
