What Causes Abdominal Discomfort And Brown/black Spots In Stools?

I have been having abdominal discomfort along with it being distended and feeling extremely fatigued. I just had a bowel movement and it was light brown with dark black spots and I am concerned. Should I be? Any ideas? I can not see my primary care physician until the 22nd.

Hello
I appreciate your concern
Black colored stool is a matter of concern, it might be related to gastrointestinal bleeding or liver disease

Here, I would advise you for battry of tests like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, Liver function test, stool test for occult blood or gastrointestinal endoscopy.

In my opinion you should take anyiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine with antacids
Have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
Avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food

Thanks for your question please feel free to ask for further clarification, I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes
