Hi,
Abdominal bloating and distension can happen during the premenstrual phase as well as during very early pregnancy. A home pregnancy test reads well 3-7 days after a missed period when performed with a fresh early morning sample. If you wish to confirm/exclude pregnancy now, you should go for the assessment of serum beta-hCG titres since they give a conclusive opinion, being sensitive and specific. Else, you may wait for your period and go for a HPT later, if you miss it. Hope this helps.
