What Causes Abdominal Pain After Intercourse?

I had a ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY When I was 25 and now I am 46. Over the years I have had pain in my Abdominal after intercourse since I was 25 long time ago .What could it be .It will be sore and tender to touch for days after intercourse .I am not having ruff sex so that s no it .

Hello,
Since you have had tenderness in the abdomen during intercourse ever since you had the surgery, the possibilities are- some wound induration, adhesions, pressure on the vault during intercourse, lack of or deficient lubrication of the vagina. I would suggest a clinical evaluation to exclude any of these possibilities and plan further management accordingly. For deficient lubrication, lubricants like K-Y jelly may be used. A sonogram of the pelvis will help to identify adhesions/induration etc. Hope this helps.
