Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my girlfriend and I had sexual intercourse last night and earlier today (it is currently 6:33pm). Around an hour ago she started experiencing severe lower abdominal pain (particularly on the left side of her front lower abdomen), a frequent need to urinate, a brief period of nausea, some dizziness/light-headedness and a burning sensation in her vagina (not during urination). She does not feel any pain when urinating. Could you please help us?
Hi, thanks for the query. As such sexual intercourse & the symptoms described by you do not appear to be linked. I would like to know if the two of you had consumed any alcohol before sexual encounter & whether your girlfriend has had similar symptoms of varying intensity in preceding few days? These symptoms might be underlying manifestations of pancreatitis or appendicitis both of which are conditions associated with inflammation of abdominal organs pancreas & appendix respectively. Is there any associated fever? You should get in touch with a doctor as soon as possible for a detailed evaluation as both of these conditions are medical emergencies & need aggressive treatment & medical support. Good luck
