Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 2 weeks ago I had dull pain in the middle lower part of my abdomen and increasingly getting worse towards the ride side of my body. The pain has stopped but the last 2 days i've had a decent amount of red blood or fluid in my stools. I'm a female, age 20. Not very active. I also have been eating a lot of red meat the last couple days, that may have something to do with it.
The abdomen pain with blood in stool is related to intestine upset, hemorrhoid precipitated by red meat consumption or else.
Primary guidelines at present are: - Drink more liquids. - Consume bland, vegan diet. - Avoid all spices, non veg, junk foods till recovery. - Start taking proton pump inhibitor, anti-spasmodic medicine after prescription from your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
