What Causes Abdominal Pain And Cramping ?

I have had lower abdominal pain for a week. Feels like I have to go to the bathroom, some cramping also. Pain is dull. I have had regular bowel movements, but the pain is there. My appetite is less than normal but when I am hungry seems like the pain is more pronounced.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Your history>>lower abdominal pain for a week- increases on empty stomach- feeling like going to bathroom-

This can be due to enteritis, that is inflammation of the intestines of mild nature not causing other symptoms to creep up.

A course of an antibiotic suitable for intestinal infection like cefixime will be diagnostic if you are getting a relief and therapeutic if it is helping to get a cure with a course of 5 to 7 days.

If no relief - you may please go for blood and stool investigations, ultrasonography of the abdomen to see the cause
