What Causes Abdominal Pain And Discharge From Belly Button?
I have abdominal pain (similar to feeling like I was punched) in the stomach around the belly button. I now have a discharge from the belly button. What can be causing this? Can it just be an infection and not a urachal cyst? Can it be cured with just an antibiotic?

The severe pain around belly button followed by discharge from belly button can be due to the following reasons:
Umbilical granuloma.
Patent urachus
Vitelointestinal duct.
This can be diagnosed by the following:
Clinical examination by a general Surgeon.
CT scan of the abdomen.
Simple granuloma can be treated by scrapping and cleaning with hydrogen peroxide and betadine.
Further problems need exploration and excision of the tract for permanent cure.
