What Causes Abdominal Pain And Discomfort?

Hello, About an hour or so after eating dinner (lobster roll) I experienced some abdominal pain and discomfort. The slight pain came in waves. It was more bloated feeling. My stomach tender to touch. I felt the need to go to the bathroom but found it difficult. However I was able to go a few times. I also took a Pepto-Bismal to help relieve the feeling. The pain/discomfort lasted about 5 hours..getting less and less as the time went on before finally subsiding. Any thoughts?

A kind of fermentation inside the Gastro Intestinal Tract because of undigested food remaining in GIT and again eating before it digests fully. The food you took might also cause local reason such as infected, heavily oiled, spicy etc giving way to spasm inside guts.

Now that it subsided, no concern. As a primary measure to my such patients I give little pinch of baking soda with warm water or warm lime water. In India common masses use carom seeds ( ajwain) by chewing with little salt and follow warm water drink or simply make decoction of carom seeds. This spice is found all over globe.
