What Causes Abdominal Pain In Person Who Has Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
My daughter has ibs and she has had some constipation over the last week. I gave her a couple of laxatives and she went to the bathroom a couple times today. She still complaining of her stomach hurting and Also she has had some light headedness and headache. However she had ice cream everyday for like 5 days and she s lactose intolerant so im sure that hasn t helped What do you think is wrong with her.

IN the given situation of Yours, seem to suffer from-IceCream Induced-exacerbated IBS with Constipation.
The pains in abdomen and headache, are from the laxatives given to her lately.The possibility of the dysbiosis after laxatives is more,than dysbiosis from your 5 days ice creams,which gave only constipation even when you have lactose intolerance.
So just wait and be on bland and liquid diet for 1-2 days and this would resolve on its own.
Add antispasmodic if pain persists and check with Physician and take antibiotics for the dysbiosis,along with probiotics for 1 weeks, after completing antibiotics-if needed.
This plan would reduce your dilemma abdominal pain of your daughter.
Hope this would help you to plan further of this complex illness of yours.

its important to know which part is hurting and whether pain is localised or diffuse and also type of pain . In IBS pain can be due to multiple causes like altered motility , pain modulation
