What Causes Abdominal Pain When Suffering From NEC?
My four year old son had a history of NEC. Is has been up crying the last hour and complaining about his lower ab hurting. I am sure it is just stomach flu because he has had very soft stools to the point of being runny today. I am making sure there may not be something I am missing.

Hi...It seems your kid is having viral diarrhea or stomach flu. Once it starts it will take 5-7 days to completely get better. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. But if any of the signs mentioned above develop, please take him to emergency room immediately.
